FBR Staff Writer Published 21 February 2011

Schiff Nutrition International, a nutrition company in the US, has hired Tarang Amin as the company's CEO, president and director, with effect from 7 March 2011.

Amin will replace Bruce Wood, CEO, president and director, who will retire effective 7 March 2011 following nearly 12 years of service to the company. Amin most recently served as vice president - general manager of The Clorox Company.

Schiff Nutrition chairman of the board Eric Weider said Tarang has a demonstrated track record of creating value and driving growth in his leadership roles at world-class consumer product companies, including Clorox and Procter & Gamble.

"His vision and success in the consumer goods industry will be key assets for leading Schiff into the future," Weider added.

Schiff Nutrition International is a manufacturer and distributor of branded and private label vitamins, nutritional supplements and nutrition bars in the US.

The company's portfolio of brands includes Move Free, Schiff Vitamins, MegaRed, Mega-D3, Tiger's Milk and Fi-Bar.
